Weekly summaries- Week 1
Week 1: Friday 10/01/20
Pre-production and collaboration: The task
This week meetings for each collaboration groups took place. Discussion of pipelines for 'Wines Tail', 'Happy Place', and 'Light Frogs' and roles have been made. My roles in each collaboration is 'animator' however, also pre-production and post-production of the animated scenes. For 'Wine Tail', I will be researching colour pallets, concept art, storyboarding, style frames and animating a scene of ten seconds until full render.
For 'Light frogs' I will be animating two scenes; which I also have to do concept art, designs, storyboard, animatic, style frames and animate to a full render. I also have an extra role as 'assistant producer', and an informal role of helping with sound design later on in the project.
For 'Happy Places', once again, I will be doing visual research, concept art, storyboarding, animatic, backgrounds, style frames, animation to full render and sound design for my scene. Additionally, I am also the marketer for this collaboration and will be the online presence, creating digital posts and design for 'Happy Places' platforms.
So far as pre-production has begun, I am sourcing visual research from primary and secondary sources. On 'Light Frogs', using Pinterest, collectively as a group we have been pinning aboard for the project together; researching colour, movement, design and frogs development: https://pin.it/q7hg6f3tvfw4xp I have also began drawing up concept ideas.
For 'Happy Places' I have begin visual research and recording; my idea for the scene is my bedroom; as it's my place of Zen. Using watercolour and fine line pen, I made visual recordings in a sketchbook of objects I plan to use in my animation from my everyday life, for example, the plants I adore and candles I often use.
